Background and Personality

Riku was an orphan who originally lived in an orphanage since he was a newborn. His mother was a prostitute, while his father was some random American man who paid his mother for her service. Neither of them wanted him, so he was thrown away by his mother. His life in the orphanage wasn't easy. He and the other children was mistreated pretty badly, physically, mentally, even sexually abused by the caretakers, be it a girl or a boy like him. He got a permanent scratch on his cheek from a punishment he got when he was 5. Not only that, they didn't even receive proper education at school, so he can't even write or read.Unable to receive more of the abuse, he managed to run away from the orphanage with some of his friends at the age of 10. He ended up being homeless, wandering alone in the streets. He survived by finding leftovers from the garbage, sometimes he managed to steal some food. Sometimes he slept on the park, the small alley, or in front of someone's empty property. The harsh life that built him made him to be a rude, depressive, and immoral boy.But deep inside, he really wished for happiness, a place or someone he could come home to.
